Art Car
The Time Traveling Pirate Ship is an art car like none other. Built from upcycled and salvaged materials, this ship can be spotted cruising through music festivals as a taxi service or docked for photo opps. The ship has travelled through space and time to be featured in such events as Art With Me Miami and The Love Burn.

Tate Leigh
Born and raised in the hills of Kentucky, I started making art at a young age. Some of my first memories are of dumping my toys out of the toybox, and playing with the box instead. I would use my imagination (and a couple crayons) to turn any box I could find into something more.
As I got older, I started scavenging materials from outside. I built clubhouses around trees by putting sticks in the ground for walls, dug stairs into the hillside, and used scrap wood to make a picture frame for Mothers Day.
Eventually I started a small art company, Second Chance Art. We revamped old furniture and made 2D art from scraps. I loved creating interactive pieces, once even dumpster diving to retrieve some vintage carnival cutouts for photo ops. I wanted to bring to light the weird and unusual.
At 25, I moved to Florida where my flame for creating amplified. I started working with Lost Creations art company, building large-scale immersive installations. For years I’ve practiced carpentry and event production, using sticks and scraps just like I had as a child.
Moving to Florida also led me to pursue my career in tattooing. I strive to create a welcoming, safe space for my clients. Opening my own tattoo shop – Fernwood Studios – with my partner has been a dream come true.
Finally, I have a place to share all of my beautifully weird and unusual art with the community.
All are welcome here, as long as you’re nice.
